PetalPing is a private planning space in your browser. It's not a background notification service, so here is how to make your reminders reach your phone.

Plant a little reminder

Pick a moment, add a category, and decide whether it repeats. Keep notes so your future self knows exactly what to do.

Add it to your calendar

Select “Phone calendar” on a saved reminder, open the downloaded .ics file, and import it into your phone calendar. Or choose Google Calendar and save the event there.

Check that its alert is on

Confirm the event time, repeat rule, and notification in your calendar app. Your phone calendar—not this website—then handles the future alert. Editing or deleting it here will not edit an imported event.

Good to know

Will PetalPing notify my phone one year from now?

Not by itself. Once you import the event into your phone's calendar and enable its notification, that calendar app can alert you at the future time. Delivery depends on the calendar app and your device notification settings.

Does PetalPing need an account or subscription?

No. Your reminders are stored in this browser on this device. If you clear its website data or change devices, you will need your exported backup. We do not automatically sync reminders across devices.

What about repeating reminders and time zones?

Recurring .ics files contain an RRULE. The importing calendar decides how it handles repeats and alerts. After import, confirm the repeat schedule, local time and daylight-saving settings, especially when travelling.

Will I get a notification after I close the browser?

No website-only notification is promised. For alerts after closing the browser, import the event into an actual phone calendar and enable notifications there.
